ELEPHANT PARADE® is a social enterprise and runs the world's largest art exhibition of decorated elephant statues. Created by artists and celebrities, each ELEPHANT PARADE statue is a unique art piece. The life-size, baby elephant statues are exhibited in international cities and raise awareness for the need of elephant conservation and the PHUKET RENDEZVOUS is pleased to bring the world-famous ELEPHANT PARADE to Phuket for the first time!
Created by artists and celebrities, each ELEPHANT PARADE statue is a unique art piece. As well as the 20 life-size baby elephant models on display, ELEPHANT PARADE will also have their own shop in the Exhibition Hall, with plenty of attractive merchandise and smaller replica models to purchase. Visitors will be able to sign in for a workshop where they can paint a small replica elephant, helped by professional artists plus there will also be a model elephant painting competition for kids.
At the end of the PHUKET RENDEZVOUS, there will be a auction of the statues with 30% of the sales value being donated to elephant welfare and conservation projects. Be part of it and let's paint a brighter future!
ELEPHANT PARADE was founded by father and son Marc and Mike Spits in 2006. Whilst on holiday in Thailand, Marc met a baby elephant named Mosha, who had lost her leg after stepping on a landmine. Mosha inspired Marc and Mike to create ELEPHANT PARADE.
Millions of people have visited ELEPHANT PARADE since the first exhibition was held in Rotterdam, The Netherlands in 2007, and more than 3,000 people have attended ELEPHANT PARADE auction events. More than 1,350 artists have participated and over 1,480 elephants have been created; each an original piece of art. Amongst some of our artists and supporters are Jack Vettriano, Ronald Ventura, Paul Smith, His Royal Highness Prince Consort of Denmark, Katy Perry, Diane von Furstenberg, the Duchess of York, Karim Rashid, Leona Lewis and Sir Richard Branson.
Now it is your turn to be part of it at the PHUKET RENDEZVOUS.
